England in Group B for 2027 Men’s ODI World Cup

Harry Brook’s England team will compete in Group B at the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

England will face co-hosts South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and one qualifier.

The tournament will run from October 2 to November 21. South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia will host the matches.

Meanwhile, Group A includes defending champions Australia, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and one qualifier.

2027 World Cup groups

Group A: Australia, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Qualifier

Group B: England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Qualifier

The group stage will begin with a major clash in Cape Town.

Australia will meet India in a repeat of the 2023 World Cup final.

Australia won that final by six wickets in Ahmedabad. The victory gave them a sixth World Cup title.

Before the main group stage begins, three qualifying matches will take place.

Those matches will happen on October 2, 4 and 6. They will decide the final team to enter the tournament.

England won the World Cup on home soil in 2019. Therefore, Brook’s side will arrive with plenty of confidence.

Kevin Pietersen will also join England as a specialist mentor.
