Pure Padel has secured planning approval for its first London-region club. Construction is now underway at a former warehouse in Croydon. The site will become a premium indoor padel destination.
The club aims to welcome its first players in early December. Meanwhile, construction is scheduled to finish by 30 November.
The new venue will become Pure Padel’s 10th UK club. It will also strengthen the operator’s presence in the South East, alongside its Lightwater club in Surrey.
Pure Padel Croydon
Previously announced as Pure Padel Coulsdon, the venue will open as Pure Padel Croydon. The new name reflects its wider geographical catchment.
The club will feature six indoor courts. In addition, visitors can enjoy a café, licensed bar and pro shop. The venue will also include changing facilities, social areas and a co-working lounge.
These facilities aim to create more than just a place to play. Instead, visitors can meet friends, enjoy a coffee or catch up on work before and after their games.
No membership fee required
This puts the venue within reach of players across South London and Surrey, as well as those travelling from central London.
Courts will be bookable through the Playtomic app on a pay-to-play basis, with no membership fee required.

“We’ve seen the appetite for padel grow across the South East, and we’re excited to bring a proper indoor facility to this part of London.

“We want to create a club where people can come for a game, meet friends, have a coffee or catch up on work, and feel part of a community.
“We can’t wait to welcome everyone through the doors in December.”
Free sessions
To mark the opening, Pure Padel plans to offer free introductory sessions for local residents.
Dates, times and booking details are expected to be announced in November.
The club also plans to offer expert-led coaching for all abilities, social sessions, large corporate group bookings and private parties, with sponsorship available to businesses.
