Singer Jessie J has told fans that doctors diagnosed her with early breast cancer.
The “Price Tag” singer shared the news with her Instagram followers.
She said she has spent time going through tests. Jessie J also confirmed that she will undergo surgery soon.
“I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,” she said. “I’m highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form but I’m holding on to the word early.”
Early stage
Jessie J stressed the word “early” when she spoke about her diagnosis.
She said she plans to take time away from work after her Summertime Ball performance on June 15.
“I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball [on June 15] to have my surgery. And I will come back with massive tits and more music.”
The singer also explained why she initially hesitated to discuss her diagnosis.
She said she needed time to process the news. However, her busy work schedule made that difficult.
“I just wanted to be open and share it,” she said. “One, because selfishly I do not talk about it enough – I’m not processing it because I’m working so hard.
“I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I’m an open book.
“It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much, similar and worse. That’s the bit that kills me.”
Jessie J has previously spoken openly about difficult periods in her life.
She has also discussed how support from fans helped her during earlier health challenges.

Health issues
Jessie J has had health issues throughout her life, according to BBC, having been diagnosed with a heart condition as a child, suffering a stroke when still a teenager, and briefly going deaf in 2020 due to Meniere’s disease.
Then, last year, the 37-year-old revealed that she had been diagnosed with ADHD and OCD – a moment that made her ‘rethink’ her whole life.
It’s also not the first time that Jessie J has been open about her health journey with fans, with the singer notably public about a pregnancy loss back in 2021.
She now has a two-year-old son with basketball player Chanan Colman.
