Doja Cat has announced the release date for her fifth studio album, “Vie”.
The singer and rapper will release the album on September 26.
Doja Cat shared the news on Friday.
The 29-year-old artist posted a video on Instagram.
The clip shows her wearing chic couture in Paris.
She speaks French while posing with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
The video also features another version of Doja Cat.
“You’re here?” Doja asks herself.
“Of course I am,” the other version replies.
She then takes a bite of a croissant.
“Je sais que tu es ma vie. ‘Vie’ out 9/26,” Doja wrote in the caption.
The French phrase means “I know you are my life”.
Pop-driven project
Doja, who previously sparked controversy when she rejected making palatable, marketable and sellable” music, said in a V Magazine interview in July that “Vie” will be a more “pop-driven project.”
The singer also said that the vibe will lean towards “love, romance, sex and discourse in relationships,” particularly on her hope and hopefulness towards love.
“I know that I can make pop music, and pop is just that – it’s popular.”
“It starts to become a bit of a thing that’s viewed as a sport by people who are just bystanders to it, who enjoy it, but maybe also don’t respect it or what it is, which is just music … They see it as if this is some kind of football for girls and gays,” Doja explained.

Doja ‘the jealous type’
“Jealous Type,” the lead single of “Vie,” will be released on August 21.
Produced by Jack Antonoff and Ari Starace, the song has an upbeat ‘80s vibe, complete with energetic synths and sensual lyrics reminiscent of her “Hot Pink” and “Planet Her” eras.
Earlier, Doja showed off the track in a Marc Jacobs pre-Fall 2025 campaign on May 5.
She then teased the song through the “Vie Hotline” on August 7, where callers are given a snippet of the track. The singer also uploaded the teaser in a YouTube video.
The song speaks about being in love and confused while navigating insecurities and jealousy in a seemingly impatient relationship.
