Formula 1 and the FIA have officially confirmed the 2027 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar.
The schedule features 24 Grands Prix across 22 countries. It also includes 10 Sprint weekends.

Pre-season testing and a sprint-full start
The 2027 season will begin with pre-season testing in Bahrain.
Testing will take place from February 24-27.
The opening Grand Prix will follow in Bahrain from March 12-14.
The Sakhir circuit will host the first of 10 Sprint weekends. It will also mark the first time an F1 season starts with a Sprint.
Saudi Arabia will host the second round one week later. Therefore, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will form the first double-header.
After another week off, the first triple-header will begin in Australia.
Japan and China will follow. Australia and Japan will both host Sprint weekends.
The first North American races will then arrive. Miami will host its Grand Prix from April 30 to May 2.
Canada will follow from May 21-23. The Canadian event will also feature a Sprint weekend.
Surprising Monaco Sprint decision kicks off European leg
The European part of the 2027 season will begin in Monaco.
The Monaco Grand Prix will take place from June 4-6. More importantly, the famous circuit will host a Sprint weekend.
The decision has already attracted plenty of attention online. Many fans have debated Monaco’s place on the F1 calendar.
The Sprint format adds another talking point to the iconic event.
Two weeks later, Portugal will return to the calendar. The race will take place at the Portimão circuit.
The return has received a more positive response from many fans.
Something new amongst history and pedigree
After an unusually long summer break (five weeks), Monza will host a Sprint weekend from September 3-5.
It will be a double-header with the Spanish GP at the Madring taking place the following weekend.
The inaugural GP in Madrid produced a race with little to no overtakes. However, the organisers have promised changes ahead of the 2027 race following criticism from fans, the media and some drivers.
Baku follows two weeks later, kicking off another triple-header that continues with Istanbul’s return to the calendar and the Singapore Grand Prix.
The closing rounds – and Sprints
As the 2027 F1 season nears its end, Austin, Texas, will host the United States GP from October 22-24.
The triple-header will continue into Mexico and Brazil, where São Paulo will host a Sprint race.
On November 20, the lone race in Las Vegas will usher us into the final double-header of the season, with the Qatar and Abu Dhabi GPs both holding Sprint races to end the season on December 12.
