Harry Kane agrees new Bayern Munich deal until 2029

England captain Harry Kane has agreed a new contract in principle with Bayern Munich until the summer of 2029, with the Bundesliga club now finalising the paperwork on his extension.

The 33-year-old joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 and has enjoyed an impressive spell in Germany, establishing himself as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers.

Kane has scored 154 goals in 156 appearances for Bayern across all competitions since arriving at the Allianz Arena, highlighting his importance to the German champions.

His performances have also helped him end his long wait for major silverware, winning two Bundesliga titles, the German Cup and the German Super Cup during his time at the club.

Golden boy

The England captain has also won the European Golden Shoe twice and finished as the Bundesliga’s top scorer in each of his three seasons in Germany.

His 2025/26 campaign was particularly impressive, with Kane scoring 73 goals for club and country, including 36 in the Bundesliga and 14 in the Champions League.

Those performances have put him among the leading contenders for the men’s Ballon d’Or, with the striker enjoying one of the most productive periods of his career.

New contract could end PL return talk

Kane’s current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2027, meaning Bayern have been keen to secure his future rather than risk losing their leading goalscorer.

An extension until 2029 would keep the England captain at the club until he is 35, allowing Bayern to continue building their attack around his goalscoring ability and experience.

The striker previously spent his entire senior club career in England before moving to Germany, scoring 213 Premier League goals for Tottenham.

However, a new deal would make an immediate return to English football less likely as Kane looks to add further trophies to his collection.

Bayern are now working to complete the paperwork before officially confirming the extension.

With Kane continuing to deliver at the highest level, securing his future would represent a significant boost for the German champions as they look to maintain their domestic dominance and compete for further European honours.
