Goodbye, “CLICK” era. Jisoo is already turning the page to her next musical chapter as she gears up to release her new digital single, “Addicted,” later this month.
The Blackpink member announced that the track will arrive on October 30 at 8am Korean Standard Time (October 29 at 7pm Eastern Daylight Time).
In a short teaser shared on Instagram, lightning flashes across a stormy purple sky before forming a heart, with the word “ADDICTED” appearing at its centre.
The mysterious visuals have left fans guessing about the song’s direction, with some speculating that Jisoo could be embracing a darker, apocalyptic-inspired concept.
However, the singer has yet to reveal what “Addicted” will sound like or whether a music video will accompany its release.
From ‘CLICK’ to ‘Addicted’
The announcement comes less than two months after Jisoo released “CLICK” in September, a track that earned her another set of milestones as a solo artist.
“CLICK” debuted at No. 15 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart, marking Jisoo’s first solo entry on the ranking. It also landed at No. 96 on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart.
The track also reached No. 1 on iTunes’ Top Songs chart in nine regions and entered the Top 10 in 43 regions, according to South Korean media reports.
It also earned Jisoo a music show win on Mnet’s M Countdown on September 17.
A sweet surprise for fans
While her upcoming single hints at something darker, Jisoo recently treated fans to a much sweeter reveal: her own ice cream-inspired light stick.
The design features two scoops of ice cream in lavender and white, topped with a dripping white coating and a waffle cone-shaped handle.
The light stick also comes with matching purple packaging that complements its playful, pastel-colored aesthetic.
The light stick marks another milestone for Jisoo under her independent agency, BLISSOO, as she continues to establish her identity as a solo artist.
