Bad Bunny is ending 2025 on a high note after Spotify named him the platform’s most-streamed global artist of the year.
The Puerto Rican superstar, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, recorded more than 19.8 billion streams worldwide during 2025. This marks his fourth time at the top of Spotify’s annual global artist ranking.
Sweeping the top spot for top artist, album
Bad Bunny also secured Spotify’s Global Top Album of 2025 with DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOTos. The album celebrates Puerto Rican culture while highlighting the worldwide reach of Latin music.
Taylor Swift followed Bad Bunny as the second most-streamed global artist. The Weeknd, Drake and Billie Eilish completed the top five.
Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande, Arijit Singh and Fuerza Regida also made the top 10.
Bad Bunny first claimed Spotify’s most-streamed global artist title in 2020. He repeated the achievement in 2021 and 2022.
Taylor Swift took over the top spot in 2023 and 2024. Bad Bunny has now reclaimed the title for a record fourth time.

What’s in store for Bad Bunny?
Spotify will celebrate Bad Bunny’s achievement with a global campaign for the artist and his fans.
The campaign will feature special surprises on the platform, a short film titled Leap Year and fan activations around the world.
Spotify Latin America general manager Mia Nygren described Bad Bunny’s fourth win as historic and unprecedented.
She also praised the artist for celebrating his Puerto Rican roots and bringing his culture to audiences worldwide.
The milestone comes ahead of another major moment for Bad Bunny. He is scheduled to perform at the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show in California in February 2026.
The superstar has said he wants to use the performance to celebrate Puerto Rican music, culture and the Latino community around the world.
With another Spotify record and a major global performance ahead, Bad Bunny is ending 2025 at the centre of the international music spotlight.
