Updates since season 2

Euphoria Season 3 will jump five years into the future. Levinson said the time jump felt natural because the characters would have finished college by then.

Rue, played by Zendaya, will face a difficult situation. She will be in Mexico and still owe money to Laurie, played by Martha Kelly.

Levinson also revealed major changes for Cassie and Nate. Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi will return as the troubled couple.

Cassie and Nate will get married. Levinson confirmed the wedding and promised that it would be an unforgettable night.

Cassie will live with Nate in the suburbs. She will also become heavily addicted to social media.

The character will compare her life with the seemingly glamorous lives of her former classmates. This new storyline will explore how social media affects Cassie as she enters adulthood.

Meanwhile, Hunter Schafer’s Jules will attend art school and pursue a career as an artist.

Alexa Demie’s Maddy will work at a Hollywood talent agency. Maude Apatow’s Lexi will also have a new career. She will work as an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone.

A four-year long hiatus

Euphoria Season 3 will also introduce new cast members. Singer Rosalía and actress and influencer Trisha Paytas will join the series.

HBO has confirmed that Season 3 will premiere in April 2026. The new season follows a long production delay.

The SAG-AFTRA strike, writing delays and other controversies contributed to the more than four-year gap between Seasons 2 and 3.

Despite the long wait, Levinson remains confident about the new episodes.

“I feel strongly this is our best season yet,” he said.

The creator also explained how the new season will explore adulthood and personal responsibility.

The characters are now moving beyond the safety of school. They must make difficult choices without expecting someone else to save them.

Levinson said the new stories will draw on aspects of his own life. However, the focus will remain on what it means to leave school and discover who you are.

As a result, the stakes will be higher than in previous seasons. The characters will face consequences that could change their lives.

With the five-year time jump and several major storylines ahead, Euphoria Season 3 promises a very different chapter for Rue, Cassie, Nate, Jules, Maddy and Lexi.
