Dua Lipa and Lana Del Rey close out Anfield’s summer of music

American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey closed Anfield’s 2025 summer concert season on Saturday night.

Her performance followed two huge shows from British pop star Dua Lipa earlier in the week.

Bruce Springsteen had also performed at Anfield earlier in the month. The rock legend even welcomed Liverpool icon Sir Paul McCartney onto the stage.

Together, the concerts gave Liverpool fans a memorable summer of live music.

One Kiss is all it takes

Dua Lipa originally planned one Liverpool show for her Radical Optimism tour.

Huge ticket demand led her to add a second date. Fans packed Anfield for both performances.

Lipa performed for more than two hours. Her set featured many of her biggest hits.

She also added several special moments for the Liverpool crowd.

On Tuesday, Lipa welcomed Dave McCabe from Liverpool band The Zutons onto the stage.

The pair performed the band’s famous song “Valerie”. Fans sang along as rain fell across the stadium.

Lipa then returned on Wednesday with another special tribute.

She performed The Beatles classic “Hey Jude”. The crowd responded with the famous “NA NA NA NA” chant.

The heavy rain did little to reduce the energy inside Anfield.

Lipa also performed “One Kiss” for a second time at the home of Liverpool FC.

The song has a special connection with Liverpool supporters. Fans have adopted it as an unofficial club anthem.

“I love you Liverpool, let me hear you,” Lipa shouted during the show.

An image of the Liverpool FC crest then appeared on the screens around the stage.

Summertime Sadness

Multi-award winning singer Lana Del Rey returned to Anfield for the first time in more than a decade as part of her summer 2025 tour

The Summertime Sadness singer’s last visit was actually for football rather than to perform.

The Liverpool fan took a guided tour and watched the Reds play Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, even meeting then captain Steven Gerrard.

Lana also performed a version of You’ll Never Walk Alone for a documentary to mark the club’s Premier League title win in 2020.

This time, she was the star.

“Liverpool I am so excited to be here,” the 40-year-old proclaimed before entertaining the crowd with her hits such as Summertime Sadness and Video Games.

She even gave a shout-out to Liverpool FC legend Kenny Dalglish, who was in the crowd.

“I hear we have a legend in the building? King Kenny.”

She added “we’re gonna find him later.”

Anfield’s 2026 concert season will see Billy Joel perform after he postponed this year due to ill health.
