Anime fans have plenty to look forward to after Jump Festa 2026 delivered several major announcements.
The annual convention took place in Tokyo from December 20 to 21. It featured news about some of the biggest anime and manga franchises.
Fans saw new trailers, key visuals and updates for popular titles. Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man and One Piece all received major attention during the event.
Here are some of the biggest announcements from Jump Festa 2026.
Yuji and Yuta try to kill each other, and everybody wants to kill Denji
Jujutsu Kaisen fans received one of the weekend’s biggest updates.
A new trailer for the anime’s third season arrived on Saturday. The season will cover Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1 and is scheduled to premiere on January 8, 2026.
The new story follows Yuji Itadori and his fellow students after the events of the Shibuya Incident.
Yuji will also face Yuta Okkotsu. Yuta returns with a desire for revenge and becomes a major threat to Yuji.
MAPPA also had major news for Chainsaw Man fans.
The studio announced that Tatsuki Fujimoto’s International Assassins Arc will receive an anime adaptation.
The announcement did not confirm whether the arc will become a film or a television series. Fans will have to wait for more details.
The news follows the success of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, which arrived earlier in the year.
MAPPA also revealed a new visual and teaser for the upcoming adaptation. The teaser features Makima inside a cinema as mysterious shadows move around her.
Kaiju No. 8 reaches its final installment, Dan Da Dan to return in 2027
Kaiju No. 8 also received an important update at Jump Festa.
The manga ended earlier in the year. The anime will now move toward its final stage with a third season.
The event did not provide a confirmed release date. However, reports and fan speculation have pointed to a possible 2027 release.
Dan Da Dan will also return in 2027. Production studio Science SARU confirmed that the paranormal anime will receive a third season.
The next chapter will introduce new characters and continue the supernatural adventures of its young cast.
Netflix also announced a second season of Sakamoto Days. The series will bring back Taro Sakamoto, a former hitman who now runs a convenience store.
One Piece was another major highlight of the convention.
The popular anime received new key visuals and a teaser trailer for the upcoming Elbaph Arc.
The story will take Luffy and his crew to the Land of Giants. The new arc is scheduled to premiere on April 5, 2026.
With major updates across several leading franchises, Jump Festa 2026 gave anime fans plenty of reasons to look ahead.
The event also showed the continued strength of major Shonen Jump titles. From One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen to Chainsaw Man, several of anime’s biggest names are entering important new chapters.
