Spain produced a superb performance to beat France 2-0 in the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final.
The match took place at Dallas Stadium on Tuesday, July 14. As a result, Spain booked their place in Sunday’s World Cup final.
Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro scored the goals for Spain. Their goals proved enough to beat one of the tournament favourites.
However, the scoreline does not tell the full story. Spain controlled possession and limited France’s attacking opportunities.
Luis de la Fuente’s team also showed excellent defensive discipline. Therefore, Spain deserved their place in the final.
With Kylian Mbappé and Michael Olise largely quiet, Spain showed why many view them as the tournament’s most complete team.
