Stars and royals flock to Wimbledon Championships for its final weekend

Hollywood stars and members of the British royal family filled the stands during the final days of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships.

The famous guests watched two exciting singles finals at the All England Club.

On Saturday, Poland’s Iga Świątek defeated Amanda Anisimova to win the Women’s Singles title.

On Sunday, Italy’s Jannik Sinner beat Carlos Alcaraz to claim the Gentlemen’s Singles crown.

Hollywood shows its love for tennis

Several major Hollywood stars attended the men’s final on Sunday.

Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Matthew McConaughey watched the action from the stands.

Both stars wore white suits. Their outfits matched Wimbledon’s famous dress-code tradition.

Irish actors Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal also attended the final.

The pair starred together in the 2023 film All of Us Strangers.

They smiled and chatted as they watched the match.

English actress Keira Knightley also attended the final with her husband, musician James Righton.

Knightley’s Pirates of the Caribbean co-star Orlando Bloom also appeared at Wimbledon.

He attended the event alone amid reports about his split from singer Katy Perry.

Jodie Comer and Daisy Edgar-Jones also watched the action.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell joined the celebrity crowd at the tournament.

Familiar faces all around at SW19

Earlier in the week, many other familiar faces graced the stands above the tennis courts.

Notably, Actor Andrew Garfield and his girlfriend, A Complete Unknown actress Monica Barbaro, made an appearance at Centre Court.

The two made their official debut as a couple just recently and looked very dapper and chic in their all-white outfits.

Spider-Man star Tom Holland showed up too, as did Benedict Cumberbatch and American actor Glen Powell.

Singer Olivia Rodrigo, fresh off Glastonbury success, where she headlined the Pyramid Stage just a few weeks ago, was spotted in the crowd in the company of her English boyfriend, Enola Holmes actor Louis Partridge.

Elsewhere, Hollywood legends Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, and Cate Blanchett all made an appearance at some point during the famous tournament.

Footage of British actor Hugh Grant went viral on social media earlier in the week after he fell asleep amid the men’s singles quarter-final tennis match between Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and Italy’s Flavio Cobolli.

BBC Sport’s official X account made light of the moment, writing, “It’s all got a bit too much for Hugh Grant.”

Kate takes place in Royal Box

It wouldn’t be Wimbledon, of course, without the appearance of the British royal family.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, looked incredibly elegant as she attended both the men’s and women’s finals on Saturday and Sunday.

Kate is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, and she handed out the trophies to Świątek and Sinner after the final matches.

She was accompanied by William, Prince of Wales, and their two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

George, for his part, looked rather disappointed as he watched Sinner defeat Alcaraz, with cameras catching him frowning towards the court.
