Asian rave enthusiasts have plenty to look forward to.
World-famous EDM festival Tomorrowland is bringing its experience to Asia for the first time.
The festival began in Belgium in 2005. It has since become one of the world’s biggest electronic music events.
Now, Tomorrowland is expanding into Asia.
The festival will make its China debut in Shanghai this year. It will then begin a five-year annual run in Thailand in December 2026.
Shanghai gets the first beat
TTomorrowland will hold its first Asian event in Shanghai on November 22.
The one-night show will feature the festival’s famous stage designs. It will also bring a lineup of international DJs to the city.
Organisers have named the event “The Magic of Tomorrow”.
The show will use Tomorrowland’s “Paperworld” theme. The festival introduced that theme earlier this year.
The event will take place inside Shanghai’s Hero Dome.
The venue sits near the historic Bund waterfront, according to Travel and Tour World.
The Shanghai show marks several firsts for Tomorrowland.
It will become the festival’s first Asian spinoff. It will also be the first indoor Tomorrowland show anywhere in the world.
Hero Dome can accommodate around 5,000 partygoers.
Tomorrowland will stage the event with Hero Esports. Budweiser China and entertainment complex INS Land will also join the partnership.
In a July statement, Tomorrowland said the Shanghai event “marks a new chapter in the history of Tomorrowland, blending Tomorrowland’s global headliners and signature elements with the next wave of Chinese talent – reimagined through the lens of China and brought to life in one unforgettable show.”
The festival has also teased a mix of international and Chinese talent.
Organisers said guests can expect “exclusive China performance from some of the world’s most celebrated DJs, a diverse lineup spanning genres and continents and a fully immersive indoor show, driven by cutting-edge visuals and sensory storytelling, designed specifically from the ground up to create intimacy, intensity and impact.”
Tomorrowland will reveal more ticket information in September.
The festival will share details through its website and WeChat channels operated by its partners.

Pattaya tuning in
Tomorrowland will continue its Asian expansion in Thailand in December 2026.
The event will begin a five-year annual run in the country.
Organisers have not confirmed the official venue yet.
However, Pattaya has emerged as the leading candidate.
The potential location is Wisdom Valley in the Khao Mai Kaeo area.
Pattaya sits around 150 kilometres from Bangkok.
The city is also famous for its nightlife, clubs and entertainment venues.
That makes it a natural fit for a major EDM event.
The Thai Cabinet approved the plan in late July.
The government wants to strengthen Thailand’s international entertainment profile.
Officials expect the event to generate more than THB12 billion in economic revenue.
They also expect Tomorrowland Thailand to provide a major boost to tourism.
The event will run from 2026 to 2030 under the current plan.
The project also supports Thailand’s tourism strategy.
The country’s 2025 campaign, “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year”, promotes tourism through music, sports and performing arts.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand will lead the coordination effort.
It will work with Tomorrowland International and its local partners.
The Nation reported that We Are One.World (Thailand) Company Limited will also take part in the project.
