Rumours linking BTS member Jungkook and aespa’s Winter have reignited debate among fans. Reactions to the alleged relationship remain sharply divided.
The latest wave of speculation began on December 5. Netizens pointed to what they described as matching “puppy-face” tattoos on Jungkook and Winter.
Some fans interpreted the tattoos as a possible “couple tattoo”. Others also highlighted similar accessories, in-ear monitors and fashion choices.
Fans even pointed to similarities between their social media usernames. However, none of these details proves that the two stars are dating.

Some fans believe the alleged similarities could point to a relationship.
“I mean, the man’s pushing 30. It’d be a bit weird if he didn’t have a gf right?” one TikTok user said in a video about the rumours.
Another fan supported the pair, writing: “I hope their relationship is true and that they last a long time or forever despite all the hate they will get by [sic] parasocial people.”
However, many fans remain unconvinced. They argue that the similarities are circumstantial and do not confirm a relationship.
Some also noted that many matching accessories and fashion items are mass-produced. Similar tattoos can also be popular among K-pop fans and celebrities.
“I’m pretty sure that’s an extremely popular tattoo in Korea. Don’t think it’s that deep,” one commenter wrote.
Others criticised the speculation itself. They argued that unverified dating rumours can put unnecessary pressure on both artists.
The debate has also raised concerns about online harassment. Fans have urged others to avoid treating speculation as fact.
Silence from agencies
The silence of their separate agencies also adds to the tension.
BigHit Music (Jungkook’s agency) reportedly said it was “checking on the matter,” while SM Entertainment (Winter’s agency) responded with a simple “no statement at this time.”
Moreover, the lack of clarity has sparked comparisons to past long-running rumours — notably the saga involving V and Jennie — which remained unconfirmed until they eventually died down.
As the rumours circulate, both fan communities and casual observers await either confirmation or denial.
For now, the debate shows no signs of cooling, leaving many to question whether this will be another case of speculation without resolution, or if something more will come to light.
