Harry Potter Series Cast Adds More Weasleys

The more red hair, the merrier. Four more members of the Weasley family have joined the cast of Home Box Office’s upcoming “Harry Potter” television adaptation.

The series is currently in production. HBO has now announced the actors playing Fred, George, Percy and Ginny Weasley.

The announcement completes the main Weasley family lineup. The famous red-haired family remains central to J.K. Rowling’s magical universe.

A faithful retelling in episodic form

Unlike the film series, the new show plans to focus each season on one of Rowling’s seven books.

This format gives the story more room for character development. As a result, the Weasleys can play a larger role throughout the series.

The show also plans to make the Weasley siblings important figures across the story.

Ginny starts as Ron’s younger sister. Over time, she becomes a confident witch and Harry’s romantic interest.

Meanwhile, Fred and George bring humour and defiance to the story. Percy offers a different personality with his serious and ambitious approach.

These characters have become fan favourites among Potterheads. HBO has therefore assembled almost the entire Weasley family for the new adaptation.

Alastair Stout will play Ron Weasley. Tristan Harland and Gabriel Harland will portray the mischievous twins Fred and George.

Ruari Spooner will play Percy. Gracie Cochrane will portray Ginny, according to the Hindustan Times.

Dominic McLaughlin will play Harry Potter. Nick Frost will portray Hagrid.

Their casting has also increased interest in the young ensemble. Fans will now watch closely to see how the new actors build their on-screen relationships.

A series aiming to reignite the magic

HBO’s Harry Potter is gearing up to hit the small screen in 2027 and is described as among the most ambitious adaptations of literature in television history.

The series seems committed to providing a genuine, character-driven retelling that respects long-time fans while welcoming new viewers into the magical realm by incorporating all the Weasley children.
