Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has signed a new multi-year contract extension with the Scuderia.

The announcement comes ahead of this weekend’s Monaco GP. The race will take place at Leclerc’s home circuit in Monte Carlo.

Leclerc has made a strong start to the season. He currently sits third in the championship standings.

He remains close to leader Kimi Antonelli. Therefore, Ferrari and Leclerc have decided to continue their partnership.

Ferrari has not revealed the exact length of the new deal. The team only confirmed that Leclerc has agreed to a new contract.

The latest agreement keeps their long-term project alive. Both sides continue to chase success with the Scuderia.

The announcement

The announcement came as a surprise on the official Scuderia Ferrari Instagram page: “We are delighted to confirm that Charles Leclerc has agreed a new deal with Scuderia Ferrari HP.”

Ferrari posted on its Instagram page, “Sempre Rosso,” which translates to “Always Red.”

The Moneguasque has also posted an announcement on his social media page, with a magnificent video and love letter to the team and fans of the red.

“Being a Ferrari driver is a privilege and a responsibility that I will never take for granted,” Leclerc mentions in his Instagram post.

“I’ll continue to give absolutely everything I have to bring this team back to where it belongs, at the very top, for everyone in Maranello, and above all for the tifosi, whose passion is the heartbeat of this Scuderia.

“The dream is still alive, and I’m proud to continue chasing it together with you.”
